Timothy J. Kietzman, M.D., specializes in neuro-ophthalmology. He diagnoses and treats patients with unexplained vision problems related to diseases affecting the brain and optic nerve. Dr. Kietzman also treats acute eye conditions.

Dr. Kietzman earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from Wheaton College and a Medical Doctorate from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, IL. His internship and residency was completed at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. He furthered his training through a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IL.
While on active duty in the Army, Dr. Kietzman served his country as an ophthalmologist in Operation Desert Storm. Dr. Kietzman also served as Clinical and Surgical Instructor at the Gilgit Eye Hospital in the remote northern mountains of Pakistan. In 2012, he was honored by the American Academy of Ophthalmology for his work in Gilgit with its prestigious Outstanding Humanitarian Service Award.
Dr. Kietzman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kietzman is a member of the Officer’s Christian Fellowship, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Military Ophthalmology Society, Christian Ophthalmology Society and the Christian Medical & Dental Society.
