Dr. Mistry specializes in Medical Optometry with a focus on Ocular Disease. She concentrates her practice on the management of Glaucoma and Uveitis.

Education

Dr. Mistry earned her Doctorate, with honors, from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She then furthered her clinic education in her Optometric Residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Experience

Dr. Mistry has gained a wide range of clinical experience providing ocular and vision care for patients of all demographics, with particular focus on geriatric, pediatric, and special needs populations. In addition to practicing primary care optometry, she has delivered peri-operative care in the University of Houston Ambulatory Surgery Center, Low Vision care for veterans in the Visual Impairment Services Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, and Community Care in partnership with various public health agencies around the Houston area. Dr. Mistry has had opportunities to lecture at both local and national conferences, with the aspiration to always encourage learning and adaptation to better the patient care experience.
