Edward Sung, M.D. specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He performs diagnostic testing for glaucoma and provides medical, laser and surgical treatments. He also specializes in small-incision cataract surgery.
Dr. Sung earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Princeton University and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. His internship in Michigan was followed by an ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Sung is Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois, Chicago, a lecturer in the Loyola University Department of Ophthalmology and on the faculty of Edward Hines VA Hospital in Maywood, IL.
Dr. Sung is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Sung is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Illinois State Medical Society, the DuPage County Medical Society, the American Glaucoma Society and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
